

Ketron, Velma P. 84 of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully at home Sunday, August 16, 2015. She was of the Baptist faith. Velma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles E. Ketron; parents, Willie B. and Veaulah Lea Phillips; brother, Bill Phillips. She is survived by her children, Pam (Wed) Greer, Chris (Becki) Ketron, Jeff (Pam) Ketron; grandchildren, Brandon (Afton) Ketron, Lainey Greer, Rachel (Dustin) Comer, Angela (Dustin) Weaver, Jessie (Brent) Blanchette, Erin Ketron, Ellie Greer, Brenna Ketron, Kendal Ketron; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Jewell Wade; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to Avalon Hospice and caregiver, Peggy Bishop, for their wonderful care. Family will receive friends at New Hopewell Baptist Church on Kimberlin Heights Road Thursday, August 20th from 5 to 7pm with service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Gary Swaggerty officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland South on Simpson Road Friday, August 21st at 10am for interment.
