Venessa graduated from Doyle High School, class of 1977. She began playing piano for her home church at the young age of 11, showcasing her love for music early on in life. Her passion for music continued throughout her life, as she enjoyed songwriting and singing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her flowers.
Venessa was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Jimmy Jett. She was a cherished mother to her children, Nathanael McBee and his wife Kristina, Tracie McCormack and her husband Brandon, and Mindy Palmer and her husband Matthew. She was also a beloved grandmother to Hunter McCormack, Josie Palmer, Elijah McCormack, Gavin Palmer, Lillian McBee, Hudson McBee, Bo Berley, and Britney Berley. She is survived by her mother, Nora Wooten, and her brothers, Randy Elliott and his wife Teresa, and Rodney Elliott and his wife Kristi.
A faithful member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Knoxville, Venessa was known for her strong faith, loyalty, and loving nature. She was an inspiration to her family and others, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration, humor, and faithfulness.
Family and friends will meet at Brantley's Chapel Baptist Church, 403 McCall Road , Maryville, TN, on Thursday, November 20, 2025 for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. Rev. Alan Rutherford will be officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.berryhighlandsouth.com
