Vicki Lee "Douglas" Jones passed away peacefully at her home on April 11, 2026, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Robert and Bonnie Douglas, who preceded her in death. Vicki was raised in Knoxville, where she spent much of her life before retiring to Naples, Florida, with her husband, Wendell Jones.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wendell Jones; her son, Brandon Young and his wife, Sarah, and their son, Jackson; her daughter, Brooke Govert and her husband, Tyler, and their daughter, Alexus; and her two sisters, Deborah Laws and Sandy Nixon.
Vicki had a deep love for sunshine, the water, and the simple joy of being outdoors, especially near the ocean. She was known for her signature bright red lipstick, a detail that reflected her vibrant personality and confidence. Fiercely loyal to those in her circle, she gave her heart fully to the people she loved, especially her children. Her warmth, spirit, and the memories she created will be cherished by all who knew her, and her strength and grace throughout her battle with cancer were a testament to how she lived her life.
A receiving of friends and family will be held from 1-2pm at Berry Highland Memorial on April 25th with a celebration of life to follow at 2pm. A private family burial will follow. Flowers can be sent to Berry Highland Memorial at 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.
