Vicki (Douglass) Waters

She was united in Holy Matrimony with Kent Waters and to this union was born a daughter, Sara Elizabeth Waters. Vicki was a faithful and committed member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church where was an active deacon, sung in the choir and was involved in missionary work. She also was a passionate financial supporter of several local organizations such as the Howard Circle of Friends, the Love Kitchen, and Children’s Hospital. She was a loving caregiver for 10+ years and most recently worked for Arosa Knoxville Elderly Home Care Services. Vicki loved supporting her clients with community events such as the Friendship Garden Club and Hearts Sing Choir. Her time providing companionship and support to her clients was recognized twice, she was awarded caregiver of the year.

Vicki graduated from Austin- East High School in 1972 and attended Knoxville Business College. She also worked in several industries including the Standard Knitting Mill and First Tennessee Bank.

Vicki is preceded in death by her parents’ father, Roy Douglass and mother, Sarah W. Douglass. Grandmother Susie McMullen and her loving spouse Kent Allen Waters. Vicki leaves to cherish her memories, loving daughter Sara Elizabeth Waters. In addition, she leaves behind brothers McArthur Dougalss and Robert Douglass, sisters Freda Anderson (James Harper), and Roberta Roberts (Colin West), Aunt Mattie R. Poole of St. Louis, MO; and sister in- law, Ceceilia Waters, and dedicated loyal friend Darleen Moulden.

Nephews William Cade, Sean Burris, and David Roberts Jr., all of Knoxville, TN. Robert “RJ” Douglass Jr. of Arlington, VA, Kenny (Alexandria) Jones of Portsmouth, VA. Devoted niece Salina Douglass. Amanda (Scott) Dean of Christiana, TN, Andrea “Tink” (Chris) Cowan of Knoxville, TN, Amy (Revi) Williams of Brookhaven, GA. Great nephew Jordon Brunson (Janay Cooper), Louis L.B. Drake IV, King Cade and bonus granddaughter Janiah Brunshon; along with a host of extended family and lifelong friends.

A visitation will be held at Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, located at 3023 Selma Ave, Knoxville, TN, 37914, on February 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. The committal service will follow at 3:00 pm at Berry Highland South Cemetery, 9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN, 37920.
