

Vincent James D'Innocenzo, 90, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025. He was born on June 22, 1935, in Ironwood, Michigan, to Antoinette (Danny) D'lnnocenzo and Thomas (Geno) D'lnnocenzo. Vincent was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was centered on his family. He married the love of his life, Helen D'lnnocenzo, with whom he shared many cherished years. He is survived by his brother, Thomas (Tom) D'Innocenzo, (Chrissy,) and their son Tommy. Vincent is also lovingly remembered by his children: Mark Jackson ( Nanette), PJ Jackson, Susan Schwarten, JoAnn Whitfield ( Steven), and Jim D'lnnocenzo ( Beata).
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Alicia Damgard ( Kip), Kyla Schwarten, Samantha Angel ( Shawn), Stephanie Whitfield, and Jacob Whitfield ( Bailey). He was blessed to see his family grow to include great-grandchildren: Emmett Damgard, Jayden Jones, Peyton Jones, Mattie Angel, Tripp Angel, Asher Angel, and Willow Angel. Vincent will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the love he poured into his family. His memory will live on in the stories, traditions, and hearts of those who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 3 pm Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Larry Rice officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Parish Hall. Family and friends will meet at East TN State Veterans Cemetery on Lyons View Pike at 12:45 pm Friday for a 1 pm committal with Father Rich Whitney officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Kidney Foundation.
