Wanda "Faye" Bowman

Wanda “Faye” Elliott Bowman entered through the gates of Heaven and exclaimed “I’m here to see Jesus” on July 15, 2025. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. She was born to the late Doc E. Elliott and Aileene Garner Elliott on May 25, 1940, as the fifth child of twelve.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Bowman; brothers: Clyde, Ray, Rick, Don, Carl, and Lawrence; sisters: Joyce Millsaps, Virginia Pierce, Barbara Perkins, Dora Elliott, Dorothy Brown,Velma McNelly; and son-in-law, Gary Snyder.

She leaves behind her children and grandchildren to carry on her legacy: Son, Scott Bowman (Renae), Daughters, Lisa Snyder, Tammy Bowman (Andy) and Lori Bowman; grandchildren: Chris Bowman (Alisha), Miranda Maples, and Kale Nix; and the special love of her life, great-grandchild Levi C. Bowman who loved sharing ice cream sandwiches together, (maybe 6 a day, but we will never know.) She is also survived by her brothers: Ed Elliott (Carolyn), Archie Elliott (Delores); sisters: Mae Voiles, Carolyn Elliott; sister-in-law, Pat Reynolds; brother-in-law, Ronnie Bowman; many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends who will miss the long phone calls, laughter, and sharing their love for Jesus.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, with a funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM, with Archie Elliott officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM for a 2:00 PM interment on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Henry’s Crossroads cemetery. Pallbearers: Robbie, Darrell, Alex, Clint, Jeff, Chris, Mackie, Roger and Eddie.
