Wanda Mae Smith, age 78 of Seymour, TN , went to be with Jesus Thursday, March 6th at her home. She was born and grew up in Bellefonte PA, then moved to Tennessee in 1973. Wanda was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed crochet, cross stitch, and spending time with friends and family.
Wanda is proceeded in death by her husband Barry Smith Sr, mother Gladys Sampsell, father Ward Sampsell Sr, and brother Ward Sampsell Jr. Survivors include son Barry (Jennifer) Smith Jr, granddaughter Kaylea (Josh) Teaster. Siblings Barry (Mary Ann) Sampsell, Joann (Charlie) Altier, Beverly Miller, Charlotte Smoyer, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 E. Simpson Road. Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. A private interment will be later. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministry. www.smarm.org.
