Alice "Allie" F Ramirez

Alice "Allie" F. Ramirez, age 78, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 2:54am, at her home after a long battle with dementia, with her loved ones by her side. She went peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Allie was born on September 10, 1944 in Conneauteville, Pennsylvania to Lyle and Mary Copeland. She loved God, Chickens, birds, flowers, gardening and being in the outdoors. She especially loved being in the outdoors, sipping her coffee in the countryside. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Allie married Frank T. Ramirez on September 3, 1971 and they had 8 children. She was a great mother, not only to her children, but to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, which in all, totaled 77 grands!

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Frank T. Ramirez; her 8 children, Wanda (Jim) Chorrushi, Robin (Jim) Mellon, Tracy (Mark) Evans, Melissa (Monte) Conwell, Michael Ranson, Donald (Denise) Strawcutter, Caroline (Scott) Bousum, and Linda Strunk; grandchildren (which were the loves of her life), Beth (Andy) Brehm, Curtis (Jenny) Chorrushi, James Philapy, Jr., Joshua (Amanda) Philapy, Jesse Philapy, Jaclyn (Arron) Philapy, Alex Sommers, Ashley (Adam) Goff, Sarah (Rodney) Deckard, Holly (Darrion) Tyler, Chelsea Conwell (Joshua Fourkiller), Ryan Ransom (Casey Washburn) Reagan Ransom, Rubie Ransom, Megan Strawcutter (Carter Lellcock), Kelly Strawcutter, Britney (Matthew) Raver, Emily Greer (Craig Yard), Elijah Bousum, Bryan Bousum, Matthew Stafford, Cameron Bryant, Isabella Bryant, Noah Strunk, Daniel Strunk, and Caleb Strunk; brother-in-law, Arthur Weddington; sisters-in-law, Judy Luchanski and Irene Ramirez; and special nephew, Victor Ramirez, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Mary; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruben and Sesaria Ramirez, her precious sisters, Delores Wiard, Janice Thompon, and Mary Jane Weddington; brother-in-law, Raymond Wiard; grandchildren, Gary Chorrushi, Adam Sommers; and niece, Brinnaria Wiard.

A time of visitation for Alice will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, with a funeral service immediately following at 1:00 PM. Allie will be entombed in her final resting place, following the funeral service.
