

Barbara Ellen Eades, 81, Greentown, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born July 16, 1932, in Kokomo, to Edgar and Hester (Dillman) Campbell. On January 1, 1955, she married John W. Eades, Sr., and he survives.
She had worked at the Blue Cross Drug Store and also sold Avon for several years. She was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and she dearly loved her family, animals, and flowers and was known as “the cat’s meow”.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, John W. (Sherry) Eades, Jr., Austin, Texas; four daughters, Gloria Brown, Windfall, Ava (David) Hopkins, Kokomo, Marcha Carpenter, Miami County, and Linda (Chris) Wrightsman, Greentown; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; five brothers, Vic, Jeff, Darrell, Merrell, and Larry Campbell; and three sisters, Maxine Pyke, Mary Lou Harmon, and Phyllis Chappell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jack Campbell and Edgar Junior Campbell; and one sister, Kate Reynolds.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. There will be a pitch-in gathering under the gazebo in Highland Park following the services on Friday.
