Bentley Javontay James Gray, 5 months olds, went to meet our Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Our angel, Bennie, arrived to us, James Carl Gray Sr. and Javonne (May) Gray, on March 10, 2022 in Kokomo.
Bentley was a happy baby and had a ready-smile for everyone. He disliked baths but instead preferred to be held close. How very quietly he tip-toed into our world, silently, only a moment he stayed. But what an imprint his footprints left upon our hearts. From all of us, screaming so deeply loud, we love you, Bentley!
Surviving are his loving parents, James Carl Gray Sr. and Javonne Gray; brothers, Laquan and Semaj Gray; sister, Abriella Gray; paternal grandmother, Romanitha Brown; maternal grandparents, Lauraine (Timothy) Rallings; uncles, Nathaniel Brown, Arnold (Eina) Malone, and Troy Allen; aunts, Akilah Gray, Constance Terrell, and Amber (Eric) Martinson; and great-uncle, Dennis Brown.
Preceded in death is his brother, James "J.J." Gray; and paternal grandfather, James Brown; great aunt, Mimi Ford; cousins, Jahcorrie Gray and Micheal Brown.
There will be a time of visitation for Bentley on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M., at City of Refuge Church of God in Christ, 1001 E. Lordeman St., Kokomo. Pastor Harry Beard will be officiating. Burial will follow to Crown Point Cemetery.
