He was born the second of twin boys on March 24, 1940 to the late Bradford and Leona (Baldwin) Cossell. Brian met his wife Faye (Miller) while attending Eastern Illinois University and were married on May 10, 1962 in Charleston, IL and she survives.
Brian was a 1958 graduate of Kokomo High School. He was an outstanding athlete that contributed to an undefeated senior football season and was one of the best high jumpers in the state. But one of Brian's favorite athletic achievements was when by chance, on a family vacation to Mackinac Island, he entered and won the "World Championship of Stone Skipping" which is still held to this day on July 4!
Brian was proud of his landscaping business, which he excelled in, from it's early beginnings in the spring of 1973 through today's continued success. He was also a large contributor to his wife Faye's restaurant (Pastarrific) from it's early days in Maple Crest Plaza to its current success on Webster street.
Brian was extremely proud of his two boys and followed their collegiate athletic careers across the midwest in the mid 1980's, then continuing his support of his five grandchildren's athletic careers while capturing photographs and keepsakes from every treasured moment.
Brian is survived by his wife Faye Cossell; two sons Brent (Ann Marie) and Brian (Janice) Kokomo; five grandchildren Camron Cossell and partner (Cassidy Newman) Kokomo, Calven Cossell and (Breana) Kokomo, Catie Burns (Gary) Kokomo, Carlee Floyd (Kobey) Kokomo, Courtnee Cossell-Smallwood (Dalton) Kokomo; and five great-grandchildren Declan and Mia Cossell Kokomo, Elouise and Hazel Burns Kokomo, and Cooper Floyd Kokomo.
Preceded in death are his parents Bradford and Leona Cossell; and twin brother Paul Cossell.
We would like to thank Guardian Angel Hospice for all the care they gave Brian.
