 Obituario de Carol Mae Lott
Carol Mae Lott, 91, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 13th in Kokomo. She was born on October 10, 1926 to the late Harley and Daisy Douglass on a farm in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Carol graduated with the class of 1945 from Logansport High School. In 1950, Carol married the love of her life, John T. Lott. John preceded Carol in death on February 14, 2009. Carol spent 28 years working in production at Delco in Kokomo before retiring in 1991. Since retiring, Carol stayed active by taking walks downtown and planting flowers outside of her home. She attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Kokomo for the past 25 years and would attend Joy Fellowship on Friday mornings. She was an excellent cook and was also very skilled at sewing. Above all, Carol loved her faith in the Lord and spending time with her family. Carol is survived by her children, Thomas (Mary) Lott, Nila (Charles) Damitz, and Darla Burns; sister, Doris Norwood; grandchildren, Tyson Damitz, Brian Damitz, Chad Damitz, Alaina Hutcheson, Alasha Koziel, Thomas Lott, John Burns, and Robert Burns, and great-grandchildren, Addyson Hutcheson, Jackson Hutcheson, Maddalyn Koziel, Isaac Koziel, Isaiah Koziel, Evan Damitz, Sean Damitz, Graceson Damitz, Griffin Damitz, and Anna Damitz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by a son, Mark Lott; brothers, Robert Douglass, Harold Douglass, Carl Douglass, and Laurel Douglass; and a sister, Lois Turner. Carol’s family would like to give a special thank you to Glenda McCoy for all of the assistance that she gave to Carol. There will be a public visitation for Carol at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Sunday, February 18th from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19th at 11:00 am. Carol will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery following the funeral service. Carol gave donations to several charities and her family asks that memorial contributions in Carol’s name be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
