

Cassandra “Cassie” (Collins) Hovis, 30, Peru, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2o11, following an automobile accident in Miami County. She was born September 30, 1980, in Kokomo, to Rance Collins and Judith (Smith) Everhart. She married Garry Wayne Hovis, and he survives.
Cassie is also survived by her two sons, Braxton Collins and Brannon Hovis, at home, and step-daughter Tristen Blaser; her father, mother and step-father Johnny Everhart; two sisters Tami Lytle and Melissa (Dennis) Jackson; step-sister Alice (Kim) Small and step- brothers Jake Everhart and John Everhart; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cassie was preceded in death by her husband’s parents, her grandparents, uncle and a step-niece.
Cassie was a loving wife and mother. She loved spending time at the pool with her boys and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was a student at Ivy Tech pursuing her nursing degree. Her father thanks God for the precious 3o years that he had his loving daughter, as he returns her back over to Him.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, Kokomo. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Deer Creek Cemetery, Onward.
