

Curtis E. Young, Jr., 69, Kokomo, passed away on March 27, 2011, with his family at his side, at Windsor Estates, where he was for only ten days. He was born June 20, 1941, in Rose Hill, Virginia, to Curtis E. and Mary Jane (Catron) Young, Sr. He married Rosetta Young, and she survives. For 22 years, she was also his caretaker and stood by him.
He graduated from Thomas Walker High School and Penn State University and served in the United States Air Force. He later worked at Chrysler for 23 years at the casting plant before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping and loved CB’s, guns, and fishing poles, which he kept extremely organized. He was a member of Union 1156, Local 669 for 18 years, and the Isaac Walton League.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Tom (Cheryl) Young, Russiaville, and Tim Young, Indianapolis, and one grandson, Carter Young, Russiaville.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
