

David Luckey, 59, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. He was born to Donald and Nancy (Ryker) Luckey in Kokomo on April 28, 1957. David graduated from Haworth High School with the Class of 1975. He was retired from General Motors of Delphi after 26 years of service.
David really enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching the news. He liked going camping and playing softball. There was nothing more important to David than his family, which he loved greatly. On Jan. 26, 1976, he married the love of his life, Deborah Steward, and they had been together for 41 years. Deborah and David would raise three children. He is survived by his spouse, Deborah; sons, David Wayne Luckey Jr., Donald James Luckey; daughter, Danielle Lynn Luckey; grandson, David Wayne Luckey III; brother, Donald Luckey Jr.; and sister, Donna Marie (William Leroy) Pearce. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Delores Luckey and Ellen Thompson.
There will be a gathering of friends and family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, with a funeral immediately following at 1 p.m. Pastor Lynn Brust will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
