Delores "Dee" Faye (Forsythe) Mabrey, 86, of Ocala, Florida, passed away at home with family on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023.Dee was born in Newman, Illinois. She was married to Paul E. Mabrey on Sept. 26, 1965.
Dee graduated from Newman Community Unit High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in nursing from Indiana University Kokomo. Dee had a career in nursing with Howard Community Hospital. She was a dedicated member of Order of the Eastern Star, and had a passion for scrapbooking, crafting, nursing, reading, collecting and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mabrey; a son, Christopher Pate; and her parents, Will Forsythe and Selma Krabel.
She is survived by sons, Jason and Travis Mabrey; granddaughter, Sierra Mabrey; brother, Richard Forsythe; and multiple nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Dee will be held Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 4 p.m. at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo, IN 46902, with interment on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902.
