Dennis A Lawhead

Dennis Allen Lawhead, 53, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 12:15 AM. Dennis was born to David and Linda Lawhead on December 10, 1963 in Robinson, Illinois. Dennis served our country in the United States Navy for 4 years. Dennis attended Western High School, where he played football and ran track and field. Dennis also enjoyed hunting, camping, and playing bingo. Dennis worked at Nichols Bakery for 10 years, then at Syndicate Sales for 10 years.

Dennis is survived by his mother Linda Lawhead; children Michael (Brandy), Denni, Autumn, and Lyndsey Lawhead; sisters DeAnna (Brent) Valdez and DiAnna Morris; grandchildren Hayden Lawhead, Ari’Ana Dupree, Layla Lawhead, DJ Fullove, Gaige Ferrell, Kaidence Lawhead, Mak’Kaylynn Lawhead, Carson Lawhead, Amyah Robinson, Ahmira Robinson-Lawhead, and Jaylen Jackson; nieces and nephews Christian, Lexie, Derek (Jenna) and Carley Lawhead, great nephew Cade, and 1 great-niece on the way, Kaylee.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, David Allen Lawhead; brother Danny Joe Lawhead, and sister-in-law Tonya Lawhead.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday October 9 at Ellers Main Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00 PM. Dennis will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden, with military honors.
