

Don Stanley Frazier, 79, passed away at his home on Wednesday afternoon, April 12, 2017, surrounded by family. Don was born to Lewis and Rachel Frazier on December 31, 1937 in Prairie Township, Indiana. He married his wife of almost 52 years, Marcie Bowers on April 18, 1965. Don worked for 21 years at Chrysler before moving to Tennessee, where he worked for the City of Gatlinburg for 19 years and retired. Don and Marcie moved back to Indiana afterwards to be near family. He was a member of Honey Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed painting and making birdhouses. Don loved to sing, especially Gospel songs, and would sing at nursing homes with the Southern Sounds Group. Don loved to garden, and to make and can jelly.
Don is survived by his wife, Marcie; son Don Jr. of Concord, NC; stepson Mike (Karen Edmonds) Fisher of Kokomo; granddaughter raised in the home Brandi (Matt) Mihalek of Sevierville, TN; grand daughters Stacie, Rachel, Jennifer, and Hayley; grandson Michael; great-grand daughters Ally, Chloe, and Harper; great-grandsons Jackson, Jayden, and Bryer; brother Paul (Jean) Frazier of Kokomo; and sister Addie Houser of Dalton, GA.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frank, Charlie, Roy, Hanley, Arthur, Delmar, and Jack; and sisters Grace, Wanda, and Deane.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. A service will follow at 1:00, officiated by Chaplain Dennis Chapman.
