Donald Richard Dobbs

Donald Richard Dobbs, 71, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2017. Don was born on April 11, 1946 to Dewitt and Julia Dobbs in New Castle, Indiana. Don married his devoted and loving wife of 41 years, Arland Dobbs. Don is a member of Woodland Church of God, where he enjoyed playing the drums for the Lord on the praise team. Don is also a member of “HIS” Gospel Music, along with Mike Milligan and Greg Bevington, playing and singing gospel music to many people. This was his mission for the Lord.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Arland Dobbs; children April Dawn (Jason) Sinko, Tina Marie (Ted) Bonifant, Brian C. (Kathy) Daniele, Richard Lee (Tina) Dobbs, and Jody Lee Dobbs; grandchildren Jaxon, Gianna, and Alayna Sinko, Courtney Bonifant, Whitnie (Adam) Christner and their daughter, Finnleigh, Tiffani (Josh) Barnes and their son Elijah, Lucia and Marianna Daniele; sisters Betty Goble, Marilyn Upchurch, Carolyn Crabtree, Marty Jones; and brother Paul Dobbs.

Don is preceded in passing by his brother, Robert Dobbs, and his parents, Julia and Dewitt Dobbs.

A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held on Monday, November 20 at 6:00 PM at the Woodland Church of God, 3401 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. All who knew Don or were touched by him in any way are invited. Please feel free to wear “HIS” T-shirts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Driven Youth at Woodland Church of God.
