

Floyd F. Peacock, 86, Kokomo, passed away July 4, 2016. He was born September 23, 1929 in Austin, IN, the son of Herman and Emma Olive (Cass) Peacock. Floyd retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He was a member of UAW 292, the Delco Camping Club, and was an avid fisherman. Floyd also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, woodworking, and jewelry making. He and his wife, Joan, wintered in Leesburg, FL at Tara Village for many years. Floyd was always helping someone. During Hurricane Hugo, he helped build houses in South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Peacock, his parents, his brother, Emery Cass, and his sisters, Beulah Walker and Betty Needler. Floyd is survived by his wife, Joan (Lewis) Peacock; his children, Patti Bishop (Tim), Jim Ade (Carol), Tamara Boesiger (Tony), and Debra Wilch; his grandchildren, Mary Ade, Jake Bandelier (LaTasha), Brandon Bishop (Niesje), Shane Sorensen, and Seth Peacock; his great-grandchildren, Hazel and Landry Bandelier and Cruz and Kannon Bishop; his siblings, Bonnie Taylor, Farris Peacock, Feildon Peacock, Brenda Julian, Freddy Peacock, Bernice Williams, and Belva Gardner; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Cass. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 8 at 11 AM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Howard County Relay for Life (Team: Pop’s Chrysler Cruzers).
