Frances Jo Heltzel

.Frances Jo Heltzel, 86, of Kokomo, passed away at 8:04 PM Saturday February 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Born September 19, 1930 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Paul Huffman and Ihla (Merckle) Huffman. On February 12, 1949 in Kokomo, she married Richard Heltzel. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1998. She was a clerk at Heltzel produce for years and also a homemaker. She was a member of the Pioneer Auto Club, enjoyed riding motorcycles, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons Rick (Lesia) Heltzel of Wilmington, North Carolina, Terry (Jane) Heltzel of Kokomo; one daughter Vickie (Samie) Dunn of Kokomo; three brothers Howard Huffman of Kokomo, Bob (Renia) Huffman of Kokomo, and Harry (Becky) Huffman of Kokomo; two sisters Maryellen Harlow of Russiaville and Peggy (David) Durham of Bradenton, Florida. There are also grandchildren Chad Heltzel, Richie (Kammille) Dunn, Stephanie (Adam Wrightsman, and Abby (Blake) Burnett; great grandchildren Kaelee, Reeghan, Brewer, Shania, and Paxton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one brother Charles Huffman; one sister-in-law Rosie Huffman; and one brother-in-law Gary Harlow.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday February 17, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor Steve Cole will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kokomo Humane Society.
