

Born May 26, 1934, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of Harland (Hilo) and Grace Huston.
She was wife of Charles R. Johnson Sr., who passed Oct. 5, 2005. They were married June 7, 1953, in Kokomo.
She was a homemaker most of her life and loved gardening and taking care of her home and yard. Earlier in her life she worked at Banner Flower Shop as a floral designer. Over the years she loved her beloved dogs and cat.
Surviving is one daughter, Kimberly Ann Brown of Talbott, Tennessee; sisters, Carole Harbaugh (Raymond) of Kokomo, Patricia Montesano of Carmel; four grandchildren, Dale and Aarika Cottingham, Marla Cottingham, Jace and Sarah Johnson, Tiera and James Slaughter; five great-grandchildren, Alexis Cottingham, Evan Johnson, Cohen Johnson, Cheyanne Trlak and Christian Trlak; special daughter-in-law, Phyllis Johnson (wife of late son Charles R Johnson Jr.); nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Grace and Harland Huston; husband, Charles R. Johnson Sr.; sister, Janice and Ronald Smith; son, Charles (Chuck) R. Johnson Jr.; brother-in-law, John Montesano; and nephew, Gregory Smith.
Family plans a memorial service at a later date.
