

Harold went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 21, 2021 while surrounded by his loved ones. Harold was born April 10, 1940 in Flora Indiana to Floyd and Pauline Collins, and attended Carroll County schools until moving to Frankfort in 1957 where he graduated Frankfort High School in 1958. On May 17, 1959 he married D. Lorie Ellis who survives.
Later that year, they moved to Kokomo and started Broadway Moving and Storage, Inc. that later became Collins Moving Systems, Inc.; over the course of time, Collins provided free transportation services to the aid of Hurricane Hugo, We Care, Kokomo High School band, and many other charities. His many achievements included private pilot's license, Kokomo Chamber of Commerce Small Business Man of the Year, President of the IN Motor Truck Association, Member of the Jaycee's, and member of the Full Gospel Businessman Association. He was innovative in his business dealings; he was not afraid to try new ideas or technologies including air ride trailers, portable phone, and selling electric cars in the 70's. Interests included flying his small plane, collecting antique tractors, volunteering for Kokomo Rescue Mission and Guardian Angels as well as helping in his church and church members. He loved his family deeply and will be missed greatly.
Surviving along with his wife are sons; Thomas of Lafayette, IN, Christopher of Champaign, IL, daughter;
Angela, granddaughter; Marissa (Wesley) Beattie, and great granddaughter; Atlanta.
Private funeral services will be held. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Crossroads Community Christian Church at 3570 E. 200 S., Bringhurst, IN.
