Harvey David Carpenter

Harvey David Carpenter, 81, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away May 18, 2024. He was born on September 25, 1942 in Rogersville, Tennessee the son of John and Eliza Ruth (Davis) Carpenter. He married Debbie Carpenter (Name) who survives. Dave retired from Chrysler in 1999 and also did carpentry work. He was an avid IU fan and loved Bobby Knight. Dave loved watching any and all sports. He enjoyed spending time at the lake years ago. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a member of VFW #1152.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Debbie; children, David (Mary) Paul, Leslie (Scott) Armstrong, Mary Beth (Steve) Browning; grandchildren, Megan Browning, Natalia Orbaugh, David N. Paul, Emmanuel Carpenter, Jessica Browning, Ally Luckey;great-grandchildren, Liam Carpenter, Nicholas Spare, Mariell Browning, Caitlynn Fisher; sister, Helen Webb; one special nephew, Jimmy Carpenter; and cat, Jodie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters; one brother; great-grandchild, Riley.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center 3400 S. Webster Street Kokomo, Indiana 46902. The Carpenter family requests that visitors dress casually or wear IU apparel to the visitation and service. Memorial Contributions can be made to VFW #1152 and the Kokomo Humane Society.
