

She worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 1996. She loved to read, quilt, and play bingo. She was a member of Brookside Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Lyle H. (Nancy) Miller, Kokomo, and George J. Miller, Kokomo; two daughters, Rhonda J. Miller, Burlington, and S. Denise Burns, Monticello; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey (Amanda) Miller, North Dakota, Jeremy Miller, Kokomo, Robin High, Kokomo, Jennifer (Ted) Henizelman, Noblesville, Todd Miller, Kokomo, Andrew Burns, Monticello, Stacy Burns, Lafayette, and Kara Shearer; eight great-grandchildren, Haley Heinzelman, Jimmy Jackson, Beth Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Ainsley Miller, Finnley Miller, Karli Shearer, and Kayli Shearer; one sister, Lennie (Bill) Russell, Kokomo; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Wynn and Mary Ann Pickett, both of Phoenix City, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons-in-law, Todd Miller, and Bruce Burns; daughter-in-law, Julia Miller; father of her children, George C. Miller; four brothers; and four sisters.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hazelbaker, Dr. Salter, and the staff at Waterford Place Health Campus.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastors Doug Benham and Jeffrey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
