Helen Marie Ridenour Moffitt

Helen Marie Moffitt, 85, Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2011, at her home. She was born June 26, 1926, in Goodland, Indiana, to Henry and Mary (Bridge) Ridenour. She married Homer Moffitt, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2003.

She is survived by three children, Janet (Steve) Barker, Kokomo, Dave (Jane) Moffitt, Michigan, and Cindy (Sam) Kauffman, Kokomo; seven grandchildren, Tammy (Tom) Eades, Walton, Clint (Jackie) Barker, Kokomo, Jennifer (Mark) Miller, Kokomo, John (Melissa) Moffitt, Michigan, Jim (Erin) Moffitt, Indianapolis, Sami Kauffman, Warsaw, and Abby Kauffman, Kokomo; thirteen grandchildren, Chelsea Painter, Pennsylvania, Mallory (Nathan) Lee, Young America, Cameron Eades, Walton, Dalton Eades, Walton, Steven Drake, Kokomo, Issac Drake, Kokomo, Chloe Barker, Kokomo, Brendan Eades, Kokomo, Alex Bentley, Kokomo, Caileigh Eades, Kokomo, Meg Moffitt, Michigan, Duncan Moffitt, Michigan, and Elijah Moffitt, Indianapolis; and one great-grandchild, Dillon Lee, Young America.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Moffitt.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor J. Annie Glen officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
