Ingrid J Williams

Ingrid J. Williams, age 88, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 1:08 PM at Community Howard Regional Hospital. Ingrid was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 20, 1935 to the late Hans and Erna Wiese Johl. She married Gordon Williams on June 29, 1957 in Port Washington, Wisconsin, and he survives.

Ingrid moved from Milwaukee to Port Washington and graduated from Port Washington High School. Following graduation, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she graduated with an Art Teacher's degree. It was during her college years, she met her husband, Gordon. Ingrid and Gordon went on to have two children, Paul and Julie. She spent more than half of her life in Kokomo, In. She was also a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed activities and friendships made over the years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Gordon; two children, Paul (Michele) Williams and Julie (John) Huie; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Herbert Johl.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Ingrid on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, 3401 South Dixon Rd., Kokomo, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Sharon Walker. Memorial contributions may be made in Ingrid's memory to Christ Lutheran Church, envelopes will be provided at the church.
