Jayne Faye Reed

Jayne Faye Reed, 61, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away August 7, 2024. She was born on June 24, 1963 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of Ralph Dumoulin and May (Kramer) Zinn. She married her high school sweetheart, Gary Robert Reed, on April 17, 1982, who survives.

Jayne’s love for family, friends, and Jesus was evident to all. She enjoyed gardening, playing games, and spending time boating and swimming at the lake. Regular lunch dates were made with her closest friends, and she loved laughing with them. Her kindness and generosity were adored by all who met her. One of the greatest joys of her life was being a Nana. She adored playing with her grandkids, talking to them on the phone, going to their sporting events and activities, taking them to the movies, and reading to them. Her role as a mother was unmatched by how she offered wisdom, love, and strength to each of her kids. She spent the majority of her beautiful life devoted to loving her best friend and husband of 42 memorable years. They cherished traveling together to fun destinations that usually included the beach.

Jayne’s memory is honored and kept alive by her loving husband, Gary; kids, Patricia (Chauncey) Poe, Cory (Heather) Reed, Alexis (Trevor) Brookshire; and 9 grandkids, Dexter, Titus, Annalise, Tenley, Kollynns, Kade, Brady, Aubree, and Briar; her beloved dog, Miley May; her siblings, Linda (Steve) Farrington, Leslie (Debra) Dumoulin, Patrick (Terri) Dumoulin, and Daniel (Keitha Kunkle) Dumoulin; stepbrother, Pete (Jane) Zinn; plus her many cousins, nieces, and nephews. All of these she loved deeply.

Jayne was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, James Zinn; her father-in-law, Raymond Reed; and a niece, Wendy Mates.

A Memorial Gathering will take place from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center. Funeral services, officiated by Greg Reed will begin at 2:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center 3400 S. Webster Street Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
