Jennifer Shaffer

Jennifer F. Shaffer, age 81, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 8:02 AM at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo. She was born on May 25, 1942 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Ferrold and Josephine (Stanton) Alexander. Jennifer married James Shaffer on May 29, 1960, and he survives.

Jennifer was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, and cooking breakfast for her family. Jennifer enjoyed spending time with children and was known as the "neighborhood mom".

She was a past member of In His Image Church as well as past member of Eagles #255 and Eagles Auxiliary.

Surviving is her loving husband of 63 years, James; children, George Shaffer, Elizabeth Marie Wilson, Lottie Shaffer, James L. Shaffer, John L. Shaffer, Ferrold A. Shaffer, and Deven Abercrombie; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Penny Alexander and Judy Arthur; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death are two brothers, Jerry and Terry Alexander; and two sisters, Sally Alexander and Nancy Porter.

There will be a time of visitation for Jennifer on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary Main Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, IN 46901. Dennis Chapman will be officiating.
