He enjoyed collecting things, old trucks, and watching westerns on television.
John was a marine in his younger days. He loved riding horses. His first job as a young boy was caring for a neighbors donkey who he fell in love with. John loved animals and had a special friend Bubba for many years. He also donated to St. Jude Hospital for sick children for many years. He will be sadly missed. Love you Dad.
He leaves behind a wife of 63 years, Alice (Riche) Beets; three daughters, Janie, Cindy, Sherry; sister, Chiquita (Paul) Kuntz; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; five sister-in-laws; one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Gina; brother Reggie Scott, a grandson, two nephews, a niece and brother-in-laws.
