John Arnott Stewart passed away at his home on Thurday, November 10 at 5:08 p.m. He was born to John Sr. and Iva Stewart on August 30, 1920 in Foxwarren, Canada. He married Martha Smith on July 26, 1947. They were married for 69 years.
John served our country in World War II in the Naval Airforce. He worked for Chrysler, Don Lowery Bowling Alley, and also sold real-estate and insurance.
John loved to watch wrestling and was always shining his coins and playing chess. He loved talking and he loved his family very much.
John is survived by his wife, Martha; daughter Julie and retired Major Murry Herron Jr. of Woodland, Colorado; son Jeffrey Stewart; grandchildren Gina and Steve Hallam of Logansport, Chris and Lisa Cavalleri and their son Angelo of Columbia, South Carolina, Angela and Vince Cunningham of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, grandson Christian Herron and children Dominik and Presley Herron of Fort Knox, Kentucky, Danielle Stewart and friend Nick Akers of Ft. Wayne, Summer Lasley and her son Jack Arnott Lasley.
John’s parents and six siblings preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at Salvation Army on Monday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m.
