
Kay Donna Free, 66, Kokomo, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Howard Regional Health System. She was born December 3, 1945, in Monroe, Michigan, to Andy Adkins and Pearl (Hamilton) Stickney. On December 24, 1965, she married Larry Free, and he preceded her in death on January 13, 1999.
She is survived by her father, Andy Adkins and step-mother, Mary, of Michigan; three children, Larry Free, Oregon, Tracy Free, Kokomo, and Tonya Carlson, Kokomo; sisters, Margie Putnam, Rose Ellison, Andrea Stininger, all of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Sandy Roach, Terry Carter, Cindy Free, Darlene Free, Ginger Free, all of Florida; and Wilma Free, Kokomo; brothers, Phillip Adkins, Florida, Michael Stickney, England, Andy Adkins, Michigan, Leonard Adkins, Florida; father-in-law, C.T. Free, Florida; brothers-in-law, Wayne Free, Kokomo, Hank Free, Florida, and Greg Free, California; seven grandchildren, Summer Carlson, Chad Carlson, Collin Free, Kaleb Free, Alli Fivecoate, all of Kokomo, Jack Free, and Kyle Free, both of Oregon; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and two special friends, Connie Mumauth, and Sandy Camp.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Stickney; mother-in-law, Imogene Free; sister, Nathalie Leach; and brother, Gary Adkins.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Benham officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
