Leona Ruth Wilson

Leona "Onie" Wilson, 94, passed away at her residence Saturday, July 21, 2018. She was born June 10, 1924, to Clifford and Marie (Obermeyer) Prifogle. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Wilma Kennedy, Cliff Jr., Carl, and Ralph "Mike" Prifogle and her spouse of 51 years, Meredith "John" Wilson.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and retired from Stellite/Haynes. Onie was a mother-figure to her great-nieces, the Rev. Deb Click (Gail) and Angela Kinch (Jim).

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Marceita Wolf (George), Gene Prifogle (Sheri), Kenny Prifogle (Patty), Judy Camden (Bob), Steve Prifogle (Pam), Diana Criss (Dean), Bruce Prifogle, Cathy Newton (Brad), Michael Prifogle, Terry Prifogle (Susan), Tim Prifogle (Sherry), Scott Prifogle (Tonya), Chad Prifogle, as well as many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Phyllis Porter (Richard), and lifelong friend, Phyllis White.

The family gives a special thanks to Shirley Howell, Patsy Pylat, and their aides for their care of Onie.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday July 24, 2018, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Chapel. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Christ Lutheran Church, with a one-hour viewing prior. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
