Leveta "Kay" Vickers Spiece

Leveta "Kay" Vickers Spiece, 79, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away February 28, 2024. She was born on October 2, 1944 in Kokomo, IN the daughter of Hubert Loren and Thelma Idella Brake (McCarter). On May 4, 1991 she married William Spiece who survives.

Leveta graduated from Kokomo High School and received an accounting degree from Indiana University Kokomo. She retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Leveta owned and operated several businesses throughout her life including, Beauty Supply Outlet with business partner Jovita Vanover, and CEO of Vickers International. After her retiring from Vickers International her son Matthew Brake continued her legacy by starting Vickers Graphics of Kokomo. She then enjoyed helping her son Mark Vickers in his retail business at fairs, festivals, malls and hospital fund raisers where she was loved by all her customers.

Surviving relatives include her husband, William Spiece; one son, Mark Vickers; daughter-in-law, Jerrina Brake; sister, Melveta Shutt all of Kokomo, IN; grandchild, Loren Brake (Erica); great grandchildren, Patrick Brake and Allison Brake; nieces and nephews, Jorinda Tovey; Kenneth Shutt; Michael Shutt; Lorinda Lhotka; cousins, Stephanie Denham and Denise Brickler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Matthew Brake; sisters Ethel Mae Humbles and Betty Brake.

Visitation will 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Share a memory at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
