I have such good memories of Marie. We were neighbors but there was quite a large yard between us. When I was in elementary school my mom would send little me running across the big yard in my pajamas....and Marie would be waiting for me at the door. I would go back to sleep on her couch & she would wake me with Karen & Carey...Curt came along later on I guess. My mom had to be at work early so Marie made sure I was dressed, had breakfast, and got on the bus to school. I always loved it when she made cinnamon rolls for breakfast - I can remember how good they smelled! I remember going to “Grandpa Ben’s” farm. Karen & I would play and sometimes we helped break beans and it was here where Marie would can vegetables from Ben’s garden. Other times Carey would come too & the three of us would play the “tractor” game - just being the first to spy a tractor:) Marie often took us to the bowling alley. She played on leagues & was really good! I remember that the snack bar had good french fries! I know Karen & Carey will remember Marie driving through Scotties to get us hamburgers and fries-and I can almost taste those burgers:) I remember when Marie brought home a brand new Mustang - I think it may have been a turquoise color - and the entire neighborhood was impressed with it! And Karen, can you remember us playing Barbies upstairs?! We had such good fun up there. We squabbled some, but we always worked it out:) Yes Marie, you made a difference in my life. You were my 2nd mother. I know you are with God. You were a Christian & always had us kids say prayers for our food. You set a good example for us. My own mom has Alzheimers now - she will see you soon. Thank you for all you did for this little girl:)

Many childhood and teenage memories of Marie flood thru my mind. Going to the lake with Mom, Dad, Dan Marie, Carey and Karen every summer, Gettiing to stay with Dan and Marie for a week in the summertime and help out when Curt was a newborn. Marie would often come to the farm and help Mom quilt, she had beautiful stitching.
Never make a roast and mash potatoes that I don’t think of Marie. She made the best, served on a white plate. Very humble and pleasant lady. She was a dear sister in law and added so much to the Miller family.

Karen and family;
Your mother was such a dear sweet friend whom I loved! ❤
I met Marie on January 2nd 1995, when I started working at the Recorders Office. She taught me so much.
When I left the office and went to the Personnel Office as the Director in May 2000, she came and worked for me. Marie loved baking goodies and sharing them with everyone. We even gave her her own "Marie's Recipe" in the County Newsletter!😊 She had so much energy and was so active; not only at work but at home too!
Marie wasn't only a true friend to me, she was friends to many other people in the county, or should I say, we were family!❤ I truly loved our time together and the memories we made! Rest in Heaven Sweet Marie!! Please tell Mark I said Hi!!❤ Prayers for you & your family! Love, Wanda McKillip

So sorry about my Aunt. She was always so kind to my Sis and Brother. It was hard on her losing both brothers within six months. Will always have fond memories of her.

Karen
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a very sweet woman. I loved listening to her stories when I delivered her taxes.
Heaven did gain an angel.
