Mary graduated from Taylor High School in 1977, before starting her family. She dedicated several years of her life to serving her community in the healthcare industry. Mary was passionate about working with Alzheimer's patients; she participated in the annual Alzheimer's Walk for several years.
She adored her houseplants, often taking the ones others considered to be "lost causes" and bringing them back to life. She could often be found supervising her husband on the front porch on how to properly water them.
Mary had a spark about her that caused anyone who met her to instantly love her. She loved to laugh and have a good time, often being the center of the joke and loving it.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Jim; her children, Michelle Eads, Elizabeth (James) Swigart, Sarah (Chris) Janssen; sister, Connie (Mike) Sturgeon; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a niece, Erica (Loren Brake) York; along with one great niece and one great nephew.
A gathering of friends & family for Mary will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM. Pastor Greg "Chip" Canter will officiate.
