Matthew Brake

Matthew was born March 31, 1963 to Chuck Householder and Leveta Spiece in Cincinatti, Ohio. Matt graduated from Trine University in Angola, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later went on to form his own company, Vicker's Graphics, in Kokomo. Matt was a member of Howard Masonic Lodge #93 and the Kokomo Commandry #36.

He loved carpentry, working on cars, gardening, fishing, cooking, and grilling. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Matt was a very giving person, who would go out of his way to help so many people. Everyone knew they could count on Matt to be there for them; a true man of his word. His smile, laughter, and joyful disposition were infectious to those around him.

Matt will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family, but especially by his wife, Jerrina, who will forever long to be playfully chased around the house one more time.

Matt is preceded in death by his father and brother.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, Jerrina; his parents, Leveta and William Spiece; step-father, Rhett Vickers; his brother, Mark Vickers; children, Loren Brake, Brett Whitacre, and Randy Whitacre; grandchildren, Patrick, Allison, Gavin, Gannon, and Mavis.

Funeral services for Matt will be held on Saturday, January 15th, at Ellers Mortuary Webster St Chapel, with a Masonic Service beginning at 6pm. Calling for friends and family will be from 3-6pm, also at the mortuary.
