

Metta graduated from Northwestern in 1953. She worked for Delco Electronics for many years. She was a member of the Local UAW #292. After retiring from Delco, Metta moved to Florida where she worked in real estate. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, dining out, and laughing with family and friends. Metta was a former member of St. Luke’s UMC and was a member of The Connextion Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra (Richard) Andrew and Diana Hill; son, David Rhodes; three grandchildren, Jeremiah Martin, Kristopher Rhodes, and Jennifer Eller; four great-grandchildren, Christian Wentzel, Anthony Martin, Roman Rhodes, and Luke Rhodes; brother, Robert (Ann) Arthur; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, William Day and William Tedlock; son, Danny Rhodes; son-in-law, Johnny Hill; daughter-in-law, Patricia Bassett; two brothers, Larry Arthur and Charles Arthur; two sisters, Donna Harmon and Patsy Powell.
A visitation for Metta will be on Thursday, February 27, from 12:30 PM until the time of service at 1:30 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Chaplain Ginny Soultz will be officiating.
