

Norma Jean Mooney, 86, Kokomo, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Golden Living. She was born July 25, 1928, in Kokomo, to Oscar and Leota (Brock) Mooney. She married Walter E. Mooney, and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2001.
She worked as a cook for the Kokomo School Corporation for eighteen years and retired in 1972. She was a kind and loving woman who cherished spending time with her family. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet (Terry) Bridge, Russiaville; one son, Steven (Starla) Mooney, Kokomo; four grandchildren, Scott (Laurie) Bridge, Lori (Mark) Eaker, Paula Ferris, and Melissa (Daniel) Click; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl (Sharon) Nelson, and Bud (Irene) Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Harlow officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
