She was retired from General Motors and was a member of U.A.W. Local 292. She enjoyed working out, dancing and shopping, especially QVC.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Dwayne (Kelly) Penley, Tipton and Todd Alan (Karla) Penley, Maryville, TN; five brothers, Joe (Debbie) Burthay, Billy (Marsha) Burthay, Ricky (Ron) Burthay, Wayne (Darcy) Burthay and Bobby (Lisa) Burthay; two sisters, Carolyn Burthay and Janice Burthay; seven grandchildren, Anthony (Derith) Penley, Nikki and Brianne Penley, Kyran Jones, Kaleb, Kadden and Kierstin Penley; three great-grandchildren, Keliah Smith, Kaydence Smith and Kyler Todd Henry Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Ashley Penley.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Rushing officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
