Patricia "Pat" Hudson, 82, beloved resident of Kokomo, Indiana peacefully away on March 11, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after battling cancer. Born in Swayzee, Indiana to the late Richard and Glendora (Lyons) Pratt, Pat’s journey was one of love, family, and faith.
After graduation from Kokomo High School in 1959, she married her high school sweetheart on July 29th, 1962, and together they nurtured a beautiful family of 3 children: Theresa, Deanna, and Matthew. Pat dedicated herself to her role as stay-at-home mom before working at Delco Electronics as a fab operator until her retirement in 2007.
Pat’s legacy is one as a pillar of strength and love within her family and community. Her Christian faith shone brightly through her actions, as she actively participated in her church ConneXion (previously St Luke’s), volunteered selflessly, and embraced all with open arms. Pat was a loving family matriarch becoming a surrogate mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister to many.
Pat and her husband, Bob, were inseparable companions who cherished time spent with friends and family. Whether cheering on her grandchildren in their athletic endeavors or delighting in card games with friends. Pat found joy in every moment. Her passion for cooking, bargain hunting, and travel enriched the lives of those around her. Pat's advice for a long marriage to her recently married grandson was, "Always laugh, support one another and never stop loving each other”.
Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years Bob Hudson; siblings Thomas (Lynn) Pratt and Kathryn Rogers, children Theresa (Lane) Lindley, Deanna Hudson, Matthew (Lyndsay) Hudson; grandchildren Andrew (Taylor) Lindley, Allison (Phil) Barrett, Tyler (Jourdan) Eitelman, Lacey Johnson, Tanner (Taylor Sefton) Duncan-Irwin, Gavin Hudson, Xavier Hudson, and Ava Hudson; great grandchildren Kaine, Kreed, Makenzie, Odin, and Harmony. In-laws Rose Pratt, Theresa (Don) Tapscott, Rina (Bob) Huffman, Deloris Hudson, and Jim (Marcia) Hudson. She also has many adoring nieces and nephews (19 nieces/nephews and 38 great nieces/nephews and 29 great-great nieces/nephews). Lifelong friends Billie and Joe Fredrickson along with numerous other friends.
In addition to her parents Pat is preceded in death by her siblings Robert Pratt, Gene Pratt, Vicki Parson, Carey Pratt, and Cheri Pratt, in-law John Hudson, nieces Lori Ann Pratt, Shannon Pratt, nephew Reg Griffin, and great niece Emily Bunting.
A visitation for Pat will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Berkley, Suite 3C, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, Coordinated Assistance Ministries (CAM), 625 N Union St., Kokomo, Indiana 46901, or to a charity of your choice, embodying Pat’s spirit of compassion and generosity.
The family would like to acknowledge the outpouring of love, comfort, and care for Pat during her illness; Ascension Health (Dr. Hayek, his office, and Mindy Dean), cards, prayers, food, flowers, and visits from loved ones too numerous to count. They are testament to her love and faith. She will be deeply missed.
“Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.”
