

Patty Colean (Brady) Criss, 78, Kokomo, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, June 27, 2013. She was born January 29, 1935, in Lockport, Indiana, to Frederick Charles and Gladys Bernice (Knulf) Brady. She married Dana Criss in 1967, and he survives.
Pat, as she was known to all of her friends, was very devoted to her family and church. Pat’s walk with God was a great testimony to all she knew and touched. Her best friend and spiritual sister, Marsha Jackson, could always be found at her side. Pat battled cancer for many years but always had a smile and gave all her glory to the Lord. She was also known as Sister Pat or Mom or Granny Pat. She was a member of Living Water in Greentown.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Keith (Sandy) McGuire, Mancos, Colorado, Debra (McGuire) Pearson, Windfall, Neil McGuire, Kokomo, Curtis McGuire, Marion, Dwayne (Betsy) McGuire, Kokomo, Patrick (Candace) McGuire, Grand Junction, Colorado, Coleen (McGuire) Shelby, Greentown, Robert (Teena) McGuire, Kokomo, and Bryan Criss, Ocala, Florida; 45 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lynn McLeLand, and Faith McLeLand; and brother, David Brady.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dawn, Shirley, and Doris; brother, Frederick; sons-in-law, Clifford Shelby, and Leon Pearson; daughter-in-law, Denise Criss; grandson, Larry Curtis Johnson; and great-grandson, Jesse McGuire.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Patty.
