Paula graduated from Western School Corporation, and then went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology. She worked as a Medical Technologist for over 30 years at Howard Community Hospital.
She was very involved with her church, New Hope Missionary Baptist. She played the piano, taught Sunday school, and also organized their Vacation Bible School.
Paula is survived by her children Rachel (David) Cox and Joshua (Anastasia) Alter; grandchildren Lillian Alter, Jacob Alter, and Gavin Alter; brother Wayne Maxwell; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Paula is preceded in death by her siblings Johnny Maxwell, Bonnie Stone, and Kathy Maxwell.
A visitation for Paula will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
