

Robert Donald Bozworth, 84, Kempton, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Community Howard Hospital, Kokomo. He was born May 31, 1931 in Tacoma, WA to Donald B. and Helen J. (Sonderson) Bozworth. On January 26, 1951 he married Arnetha (McGill) Bozworth and she preceded him in death.
He was employed at Chrysler Corp. as an industrial engineer for 30 years and was a lifetime member of the Kokomo Elks. Robert believed his family to be the most important part of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He he is survived by his daughters, Debra (Richard) Parker, Tipton, Joyce (Patrick) Moore, Fishers; son, Gary (Deborah) Bozworth, Rochester, NH; granddaughters, Jessica Moore and Miranda Shorty; grandson, Eric Moore; great-grandchildren, Faith Souder, Maxwell and Moxie Shorty; sister, Patricia Perkins; sister-in-law, Barbara McGill and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jeremy Parker and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Perkins and Norman McGill.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Kokomo VFW military rites team. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be designated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
