

Bob was born on December 24, 1933 in Kokomo, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann (Grogan) Ramsey of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, parents, LeRoy (Bud) and Ann (Englert) Ramsey Hiatt both of Kokomo, and his sister, Marjorie (Ramsey) Parks of Dandridge, Tennessee.
Bob is survived by his three loving daughters and their husbands; Debbie Eldridge (Kevin) of Clarksville, Arkansas, Melony Rayle (Ron) of Westfield, Indiana, and Cindy Monroe (Coy) of Sheridan, Indiana. He had five wonderful grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. The extended Grogan family of Alabama and Georgia also mourn his loss.
Bob graduated from Kokomo High School in 1951 and was hired at Continental Steel where he worked for two years. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 and served with the 11th Airborne unit as a helicopter mechanic at Fort Benning, Georgia until 1956. It is there that he met Alice Joann Grogan. Bob and Joann were married in Columbus, Georgia on October 28, 1956. They moved to Kokomo and Bob returned to Continental Steel where he worked for 29 years an an Electrician and Foreman, retiring in 1985. The Ramsey’s were dedicated members of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for 29 years. Upon retirement, he and Joann moved to Fort Mitchell, Alabama to be closer to the Grogan family. After Joann’s passing in 2001, Bob moved back to Indiana. He lived in Sheridan for several years ultimately moving to Westfield.
Bob was a man of honor and integrity. He strived to live the good life according to his Lord and Savior. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He will be greatly missed by all and will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
