Robert Raymond Shaneyfelt

Robert Raymond Shaneyfelt, 87, of Kokomo passed away at 12:32 AM Sunday March 17, 2019 at Community Howard Regional Health. Born February 17, 1932 in Muncie, Indiana he was the son of the late Russell Shaneyfelt and Mildred (Homier) Shaneyfelt. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He received a bachelors degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. On August 8, 1959 in Chicago, he married Ann (Milas), and she survives. He was employed with Pettibone Mulliken Corp. in Chicago for 8 years, then moved to Kokomo where he was employed at Stellite, Torin Corp in Rochester, then Accurate Parts in Kokomo. He then started his own business Shaneyfelt Tool and Engineering before retiring. He enjoyed oil painting, playing golf, was an IU, Colts and Bears fan. He was an active member at the Senior Center where he enjoyed playing pool; also made his own Cue Sticks. He especially enjoyed travelling with his wife Ann. Survivors include his wife of over 59 years Ann Shaneyfelt of Kokomo; three sons Robert (Cheryl) Shaneyfelt of Corinth, Texas, James Shaneyfelt and John Shaneyfelt, both of Warsaw, Indiana; one daughter Susan Skelton of Kokomo; one brother Ron Shaneyfelt of Bear Lake, Indiana; four sisters Maxine Garrison of Huntington, Indiana, Evelyn Foster of Auburn, Indiana, Josephine (Earl) Clore of Huntington, Indiana and Beverly (Monte) Burnworth of Ohio. There are also four grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Brendon, and Dominic, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. A funeral procession will follow to Albright Cemetery where a graveside service with military rites by the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will take place at 12:30 PM. Pastor Jeff Brown will officiate. Memorials may be directed to Faith Presbyterian Church with envelopes available at the mortuary.
