Roma Lee Donaldson

Roma Donaldson, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at North Woods Village, Kokomo, IN. She was born April 21, 1943, in Superior, WI, to Cecil and Flora Pickett. Surviving are her daughter, Dina (Rich) Cook; grandchildren, Jessica, Marcus, Mercedes (Drew), Daniel, and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Josh, Les, Shyann, Jax, Leela, and Luke; sisters, Lynette, Deb, and Jackie; brother, Ron (Sharon), as well as nieces, Jackie, Carrie, and Randi; nephews, Darren, Larry, and Shannon, close friends, Emily, Norma, and Linda, and the devoted children of her dear friend, Sandy.

Roma was raised in Kokomo and graduated from Kokomo High School in 1961. Roma worked for Delco Electronics, a subsidiary of General Motors, from ages 19 through 51, at which time she retired to invest time in family, friends, thrifting, gifting, and uplifting others through her prolific card ministry. She sent thousands of cards in her lifetime. Roma loved to shop and often was looking for that perfect gift. She could be found frequently at Goodwill or Treasure Mart looking for special finds to give to loved ones.

Roma suffered countless losses in her life including the deaths of her beloved son, Dan, and daughter, Desiree; grandson, Elijah; nephews, Benji and Courtney; nieces, Lori, Betty, and Kay; sister, Shirley; parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents; brothers-in-law, Ron and Larry, and close friends, Sandy Hogan and Sandy Halupa, all of whom are dearly missed.

A visitation for Roma will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
