Ronald Eugene Fowler

Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Fowler, 73, Kokomo, Indiana passed away at home surrounded by loving family on May 20, 2023. He was born on February 15, 1950 in Kokomo, Indiana the son of Lorenzo Wiley and Phyllis Stewart. He married Cheryl Fowler who survives. Ronnie worked for GM for over 25 years as a pipefitter and plumber for UAW Local 440. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, traveling, he was a coach of PAL Redskins Football. He was able to fix and build homes. He liked going to sporting events and jazz concerts. Ronnie played semi-professional football for the Kokomo Chiefs for 5 years. He was a trustee and usher at church for several years. He loved barbecuing and owned the Double RR Barbecue in Kokomo. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years, Cheryl; children, Brian (Julie) Fowler, Ashleigh Fowler, Christopher Fowler, Meredith Fowler; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jennifer Fowler, Nancy White, Sarah (Brent) Jewell, Lloyd Stewart, Patricia Wiley, Evelyn, Kathy, Lannie; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kaleb; and siblings, Delores, Dallas, Lawrence, Larry. A Memorial Service will take place at Wayman Chapel AME Church, 920 N.
