Ronald Lee Hunter, 79, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on March 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. Ronnie was born on October 29, 1943 in Odon, Indiana to Charles and Josie (Strong) Hunter. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1961. On March 31, 1967, he married Irene (Bousum). They raised six children: Wendy (Gino) Johnson, Stella (Bart) Taber, Ronald (Brittany) Hunter, Robert (Suzanne) Hunter, Christina (Stephen) Kline, and Cherilyn (Owen) Oldaker. Ronnie is survived by his wife, 6 children, and 21 grandchildren. Ronnie loved to help anyone and had a passion for beekeeping. He will be remembered for his big smile and the big love he had for his family.
The family is having a private burial ceremony, but there will be a celebration of Ronald Hunter’s life on Thursday, March 9th at Rodger’s Pavilion in Highland Park from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family to aid with final expenses.
