Rose Flood

Rose graduated from Ellington High School in England, and then married Joseph Flood on December 8, 1956. Rose met Joseph while he was stationed with the Air Force in England. Joseph preceded Rose in death on August 16, 2014.

Rose spent her career as a homemaker, caring for her two children as they grew up. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kokomo. She enjoyed socializing with the Tea Baggers, which was a group of girls that grew up in England. Rose began knitting at a very young age and carried that skill with her for her entire life. She was also an avid gambler, and enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas with her husband.

Rose is survived by her son, Stephan Joseph (Mary) Flood; daughter, Nina (Jeremy) Medina; sister, Iris (Joseph) D’Aurelio; grandchildren, Cassandra (Beau) Schofield, Colin Flood, Drew (Laura) Flood, Bella Medina, and Barryn Medina; great grandchildren, Elliott and Merrick Flood; niece, Michelle (Tom) Elfers; and great nieces, Michael and Austin Elfers.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Rose Craker.

There are no scheduled services for Rose. Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.

Memorial contributions in Rose’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
